Hey Travis,
This is great, useful content!
I think you give good stuff and I think engaging content was one time called “sticky”, if I remember correctly.
Your content is always so generously given, engaging and “sticky!”
Thanks
Yvonne Finn
Thanks Yvonne!
I appreciate your kind words.
Ya know…I always get a wee bit worried
when I go Junior High on folks.
Getting your comment soothed my

This video is so great, you guys, Thank you so much. I realize each participant has a moment in the learning process where the teaching begins rapidly to fill in the blanks for the particular learner. This video hits the sweet spot for me on that one. So now I can hardly wait for the next installment ~
and the visual of Google and the bot hitting the high school playground. Inspired. I have the funniest image now in my head of the bot heading out to sort thru the crowd. My image starts with an emu body and gait, picks up a bit of the birdy pace, flaps around, zeroes in—-fill in your own blanks.
good to know, huh, that your mom is feeling more like herself. Amid all the challenges of her age and health etc., the rewards of this project should be so cool for her !

Hi Guys,
You dont remember me Travis we PM a couple of times on WA long time back and you checked some of my stuff. I was curious do you use the trick of changing your search results settings in Google to 100 and then put the keyword in qoutes and check the KW that way?
I was waiting to see if you were going to show this trick… but maybe its a little more advanced and didnt want to confuse everyone. I use it and I get more exact info.
What usualy happens is the results come back with even a higher # say like twice as many as the orginal search in qoutes but then if you scroll to the bottom of the results page there’s like only 6 pages. Well 5 x 100 results isn’t 600,000 or even the first qoute amount.
For example after changing the results settings to 100 “home staging certification” returns 602,000 but when I scroll down there are only 5 pages. Click on the last page and the result is now 337. From there the intitle inanchor is only 5. I usualy then check the GKWT and it showed 440 searches a month. Sometimes depending on the KW I will do the inurl to see if the domain is available.
Have you tried this? Knowing you…you probaly have a even better method!
As always love your stuff… one day I hope to be making enough money that maybe my wife will look at me the way Jeannie does at you.
sorry typo thats 6 x 100 not 5… big fingers typing fast… and I cant type that well.
Travis, you must be psychic!
I was wondering about how to get on the first page of Google,
and you are showing me the foundation of how to do it.
This video is one of your best so far from you and Jeannie,
but folks would pay for this stuff!
We are so lucky.
thanks,
Psychicjim
Hello Travis/Jeanie,
Thanks for the information…videos-FloPlayer (a video player to use on my site).
Ya’ll take care, & have Great Ideas.
Delton
Again Hello,
Finished the video…Travis, I set thru your “Machanics of Money Gettin”,
I could sit and listen to you until the cows got home or the pigs flew in.
Anyway, your microphone is very good, to good in fact… Any time either
you or Jeanie got a little loud =it was happening a lot more with you than Jeanie= I was geting static/feedback from the video. I don’t know if you can turn down the mike vol or not.
Again great information, Thank You.
Great one Travis and Jeannie
Here are some highlights for me:
4:22 Google High School: I was recently explaining to somebody how to get ranked on Google and I stumbled upon this exact analogy! Maybe the guys who made Google are kind of nerdy, but they sure know what makes the prom queen the prom queen
Great nuts and bolts stuff.
14:57 Using Google as an SEO search tool: I’m such a huge fan of getting curious with Google. The video I put at the top of this report walks you through how I use Google to “spy” on my competition…and how to kidnap my competitors best links: http://www.bummarketingmethod.com/bringthefresh.html
33:00 100,000 competition…the sweet spot. Travis points out a nice BTF lesson which is especially when you’re starting out that it’s so nice to find keywords that don’t have a lot of competing pages because then it’s usually so easy to zoom to the top.
44:02 Jeannie’s getting fired up! I love it
Jeannie can’t get enough and gets into what makes things really tick behind the scenes. Travis and I did the 4 1/2 hour Mechanics of Money Getting webinar that Delton just mentioned…3 hours of that being Q&A…and nobody could seem to get enough. Really it is just so much freaking fun to know how this stuff REALLY works in meat and potatoes terms!
Thanks again for a killer video Travis and Jeannie!
Your generosity is humbling
It’s all happening,
Mike
P.S. Cool Bamboo notebook Travis

GREAT STUFF! You guys crack me up! It is nice to see a happy fun couple sharing such valuable information!
Travis, once again light bulbs popping off one after another!
I can’t thank you enough, your enthusiasm is addicting.
Keep it coming please.
Your definition of links was spot on Travis… that and your advice on engaging content made this video well worth watching!
how can i buy into this if he can’t even pronounce the word niche?

click on the button and listen to how it is supposed to be done.
Great job guys! I’ve been struggling with this stuff for a year or so now but you are a great teacher Travis and I’m starting to see where I’ve been making some of my mistakes.
Jennie and Travis,
Maybe it’s a southern thing (I’m from Biloxi, MS) but this is…
Great stuff!
This takes “good cop – bad cop” to a whole new level of teaching and I can quite figure out which one of you is the genius in this approach.
Travis shows how it’s done and Jennie speaks for the “newbie” and asks the right questions to get “guru” boy to slow down and speak to the rest of us.
Again, congrats on this format and keep up the great work.
All the best,
Mad Guy
Travis and Jeannie.
These videos are proving to be a real ‘eye opener’ for me.
Educational and also very entertaining!
And thanks to Jeannie for asking the questions I would be asking.
I’m really looking forward to the next in the series.
I spent almost a whole day (with interuptions) listening to the recording of the webinar the other day and that was great too!
Many, many thanks to you both for your generosity.
BTW Niche is pronounced ‘neesh’ according to this dictionary!
http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/niche-market
But who knows?
‘You say ‘either’ and I say…..’ Someone should write a song about it!
Thanks again.
Hi Travis and Jeannie
Well you’ve done it again! – ‘Seducing Google Part One’
…………….. “Sponsored Links Prostituting themselves for Google”
I just fell about laughing (nice one)!!
Jeannie – you’re catching on fast with this aren’t you?
GREAT – just loving it – can’t wait for the next one (LOL)

Another great video ..
Thanks Travis & Jeannie for explaining this so well
Julie
Travis and Jeanie,
Great video! I am not new to marketing but new to the relationship niche. My blog has been online since January 2010 and I am still trying to make my first sale. This latest video has given me insight on ways to improve my Google rankings. A question for you; I know you are busy, so just a quick question. On my blog site, would you just post one article per page or should I post more. I have followed the Google Sniper way with 3 post on the front page and have my makeawindturbine.com site on page one for the keyword make a wind turbine. I want to make money for the both of us in this relationship niche. My own opinion is to many post on my home page drops my keyword density, is this correct?
Thanks for any help you can give,
Jerry
Exquisitely sexy stuff! Can’t wait till you pull the drawers down on the next edition. Is that engaging enough? Thanks guys.. er, and gals.
Oh well, I call it “niche” also.
The pleasant way you to interact make the videos so much more entertaining and educational.
Thanks for the time you put into this.
Jackie
I have NEVER gotten a picture on any of the films.
I ain’t workin’ with a Mickey Mouse piece or equiptment here so, what’s up?
What do I need to be able to watch you????????????
Some of these comments are really cracking me up.
Wolfie’s personals ad to find his soulmate…”must be willing to be backlinked” made me laugh so hard my cats gave me a funny look. lol
And I have NO idea how to pronounce “niche”. lol I read a lot so I’ve seen the word, but rarely have I ever heard it and I always thought it was one of those regional things like how people say “root beer”. I say it so “root” rhymes with “foot” and Travis says it so it rhymes with “boot”. If I were to just see “niche” in a book and pronounce it in my head I think I’d say it as “nitch”.
So a pat on the back to those who know how it’s pronounced and a “don’t feel bad, you’re not the only one” to those who don’t.
Hi Travis & Jeannie,
Thank you for the great content. I took lots of notes. I can’t wait for the next video. Keep them coming and thanks a million. This information really helps. I am really interested when you get to the stage of how you go about choosing your keywords based on your niche and product that you want to target.
Thanks for all your help!
Sandra
Hi gang,
videos are great any chance I can download them so I can view them on the bus going to work?
cheers
Marco
Very nice video. I guess my fears should be over now.
Hi guys, thanks for another great video. Travis, love the new toy it makes my understanding a lot better even though it’s messy I get the examples. I can’t say I had a light bub moment like Jeannie, but the bulb is flickering so I do understand some of what you are saying like (Google searches for the relevant content to a search phrase) but I don’t understand the links in. Hopefuly that will become clearer on the next video.
Cheers
Chenee’
Chenee’, the links in will definitely be explained next time. I don’t quite entirely get what they are and won’t until I’ve actually seen some so don’t worry if you feel like you’re missing something. We’ll be going into it more next video.
Really useful video. Thanks very much!
Travis,
Great content, especially about “engaging content”. I’m looking forward to the next video.
Oh, you do have static noises on the video and that’s a bit distracting. But, it was still excellent.
Till next time,
Jhoe
Hi Guys,
I always find it a bit strange listening to highly informative videos, and really enjoying listening to them.
Have fun,
Mike
On the pronunciation of NICHE, I’d have to agree with DaveP. It’s pronounced with a long “e” and ends with a soft “sh” sound.
Jeannie said “If I were to just see “niche” in a book and pronounce it in my head I think I’d say it as “nitch”.”
Using your rhyming idea, “niche” rhymes perfectly with “quiche”.
Keep up the good work both of you. Very helpful info here.
Waiting for the second part
Too bad the first page of google means nothing. I cant stand it when people talk about the top 10. Theres no traffic in the top ten, only top 3. Stop confusing people.
Nothing worse then seoing a keyword to top ten, then getting 0 traffic and quitting.
@Greg
I get what you’re saying…
There IS traffic at position 4-10 and even traffic
on the second page…in many markets.
However…
Yes…a bulk of traffic is the top 3.
Thanks,
Travis
I have listened to many overviews of how to get google ranking. This one was one of the best with very clear discussion around what makes google happy. Having Jeannie as the resident newbie does wonders for the rest of us because she gets to ask the questions we want to ask. The beauty in all of this is she gets to stop you in the middle of the discussion to get clarity before you move on to the next point.
This was one of your best videos to date.
Thank You!
P.S. Glad to hear your mom is doing well. She continues to be in our prayers.
Engaging content! Google could care less about this and there is no way any software can tell if text is engaging or not, in 2010! I work in the software industry. My multi-year research shows that a lot of content with keywords and the age of your site is as important as anything if not the most important thing! Links are great but not as important as the above.
@Mark J
Thanks Mark. A few points that may help?
Google has been quite able to measure ‘bounce rate’ for years now.
Plus…
Millions surf the net with Google Toolbar installed, which gives Google quite a bit of info on how folks interact with your site.
Plus…
Google comes right out and ASKS for feedback.
Further…
Google employs live humans to visit sites.
Not too mention…
My main point was that nobody links to CRAPPY CONTENT, if you want NATURAL links, then put out engaging content other people will LOVE to share and you’ll get back links AUTOMATICALLY.
Hope that helps:-)
Travis
I have been studying a few courses on SEO and I must say it is a little confusing. Weather On page SEO is more important or Off page with Links is more important.
I recently built two websites. The first one I went all out with the on page SEO I currently understand and built several quality back links and so far I have only reached page 3. (several page site)
The next site I hardly spent any time with, only a few page site and not a lot of content. Still tried to get on page SEO decent, but didn’t build any back links and the site jumped right to 4th position first page.
Now the first site has more people really vying for number 1 right now, but the second site has a decent amount of competition. I’m hearing on page SEO is more important right now if you are going after terms that are less competitive, and if you are after highly competitive you will need the back links. I can only target the less competitive terms right now.
Hi Travis & Jeannie,
This is really very helpful, and I thank you for putting in the time to help us understand this stuff…
I’m wondering if this also applies to content we might be writing for places like Xomba or Squidoo to help get more traffic.
For example, in backlinking, if I have a Squidoo page on some particular topic and really want to get ranked for my keywords there, are there good ways to get the backlinks to that page even though it’s not technically “my” website, and the URL begins with the http://www.Squido.com/(whatever my keywords are)?
Hope that question makes sense. Thanks so much for this!
Kath
hey travis
u’ve been my mentor for over 6 months now and you know i really really admire you and i never skip any of your emails — they are so helpful. but i don’t understand why u keep your videos sooo long, would you explain it? and plus i would really appriciate if you answer back to me. i even want to meet u personally; in the future. but for now if you answer me back i’ll be happy to get my message read by my role model
Hi Travis I had a website called buckmansproducts.webs.com and if I typed buckmansproducts in google I would have the first few links via articles, youtube or comments but why didn’t my actually website come up first? and is there a way that I could make it for my newer sites?
Nice video
Travis and Jeannie: Thank you for adding another layer of knowledge to these hard to understand subjects of Key Words, Relevancy and Links In.
Both of you are very good at taking a complicated subject and putting it into easier to understand terms–not so scientific and fun to listen to!
You people are the real deal.
Dave Mc
Great video!! Even know I know all of this, this is really useful information to anyone that is just starting out!!!
Thanks again guys! Great stuff! I’m getting really excited! I’m truly impressed with the time and patience your willing to share. This video was very engaging. Keep it coming.
Super stuff, really starting to put the jigsaw together. Thanks guys.
I did some article marketing over the past few days. However, I don’t know why my website is in same position as it was when it had no backlinks. very Confusing!!!
Hi and thanks for sharing these funny but educational videos
I really think your invaluable support is helping and I take the challenge of ranking highly on google with my affiliate programs. I am trying to promote various things one of which is the very popular Magic of making up.
